Wingate - Jasper Marion Robbins, 89, a native of KY and farmer in the Wingate area since 1912, died at 12:05 a.m. Thursday in Allen Nursing Home, Rockville after a week's illness. He was born March 17, 1873 in Corbin, KY to David and Anna Crider Robbins. In Feb 1899, he married Mary Cheek, Somerset, KY. He was educated in KY schools and came to the Wingate area in 1912. He was a member of the Wingate Methodist Church. Survivors include four sons, Virgil Robbins of Brook, A.C. Robbins of Worthington, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Alpha Thompson of Sapulpa, OK and Mrs. Monnie DeBoord of Somerset KY and a brother, John Robbins of Eubank, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife Sept 14 and 3 brothers, Wyatt, Charles and Thomas. Funeral services are set for Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. John Landon of Wingate Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Meharry Cemeter near Wingate.

WINGATE — Funeral services for Jasper Marion Robbins, 89, who died Thursday in the Allen Nursing Home at Rockville, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Servies Mortuary at Waynetown. Rev. John Landon of the Wingate Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in the Meharry Cemetery near Wingate. Friends may call at the funeral home. He was born March 17, 1873, in Corbin, Ky., and his parents were David and Anna Crider Robbins. In February of 1899, he married Mary Cheek in Somerset, Ky. He was educated in Kentucky schools and came to the Wingate area in 1912. He was a member of the Wingate Methodist Church. Survivors include four sons, Virgil Robbins of Brook, A. C. Robbins of Worthington, Ohio, Marion Robbins of Winchester and Wiley Robbins of Wingate; four grandchildren, Mrs. Paul Egli of Frankfort, Wiley C. Robbins of Wingate, Nelson Lee Robbins of Ohio University and Marian Robbins of Miami University in Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Alpha Thompson of Sapulpa , Okla., and Mrs. Monnie DeBoord of Somerset, Ky., and a brother, John Robbins of Eubank, Ky. He was preceded in death by his wife Sept. 14 and three brothers, Wyatt, Charles and Thomas.
